Hotel, Australia/Pacific hosted by the prestigious
SKYTRAX World Airport Awards.
On the Food & Beverage front, our year-old
Argentinian Grill concept “La Boca” continues to be
profitable as an independently operated entity and
win accolades, a fairly remarkable feat uncommon
among hotel-run restaurants. To capitalise on the
success, the group will be rolling out more outlets
in Sydney and subsequently Melbourne in the
coming year.
On the whole, outlook for the three divisions,
Development, Investment and the Hotel Owning
and Management, remains promising for the
coming year.
APPRECIATION
I thank the Board of Directors for their support and
counsel. Special thanks go to Dr Tan Chin Namwho
is retiring as Director after almost eight years of
contribution and service to the Board. I would also
like to extend my appreciation to the management
team for their loyalty and dedication.
Since the beginning of the financial year, a young
and dynamic team of key management personnel
was mandated to chart the Group’s future, with the
mission to ride on the current growth momentum
and healthy cash position.
I take this opportunity to congratulate Ow Yew
Heng on his appointment as the CEO and Chua
Siew Hwi as Deputy CEO.
With our solid financial position, we will continually
seek to invest in quality assets which will anchor
the Group’s income stream in the years to come.
The process driven team has been devoted to
the Group’s ongoing restructuring exercise, and
demonstrated the tenacity and integrity as they take
on the roles and responsibilities of former senior
staff who have left the organisation. It is evident
that the long term interests of our Group are even
better served with the current team. To all rank
and file who rose to the challenge to build on our
businesses and strengthen our core competencies,
I would like to express my gratitude.
Last but not least, to our valued shareholders, we
are grateful for your confidence in the Group. Your
trust and support inspires us to work harder to
deliver greater value.
