APPRECIATION
I thank my fellow Board Members for their
wise counsel. Mr Wong Hung Khim will retire
as Independent Director in July and I would
like to express our appreciation for his 16
years with the Group, unreservedly sharing
his wealth of experience. We wish him all the
best.
It was an honour for me to receive the Order
of Australia from the Australian Government
for developing commercial relations and
identifying business opportunities between
our two countries. My efforts would not have
been successful without the support of many
people, especially those who have given
their unstinting service to the Group from our
brave beginnings.
When we initially invested in Australia in
1994, the country was going through a rough
period. Over the years, we not only saved
jobs but also helped to create new positions.
Today, Stamford Land employs over 4,000
people (direct and out-sourced) in Australasia
and Singapore. To each and every employee,
I would like to express my gratefulness for
your dedicated contributions.
To all our customers, thank you for your
patronage. Last but not least, to our
shareholders, your conviction motivates us to
forge ahead with even greater determination
to deliver value. We thank you for believing
in us.
